Comments & Complaints
At Princes Street, we make every effort to give the best service possible to everyone who attends our practice. We accept both Comments and Complaints as we believe they can help ensure we are providing the best possible service.
However, we are aware that unfortunately things sometimes can go wrong which can result in a patient feeling they have a genuine cause for complaint. If this is the case, we would like the matter to be settled as quickly, and as amicably, as possible.
If you wish to pursue either a Comment or a Complaint, you may do so by asking our reception team for a “Comments and Complaints Form”. You may also send us a written letter regarding your concerns for the attention of our practice manager. If you require any further information regarding our complaints procedure, a leaflet can be picked up from our reception team.
Any feedback is happily accepted as we strive to improve our services in any way possible.
The Scottish Public Services Ombudsman
The procedure for making a complaint against the NHS in Scotland is described in the leaflet Making a Complaint about the NHS.
The ombudsman has published a booklet that describes the process behind bringing your complaint to the ombudsman.
If you remain unhappy after everything has been done to try to resolve your concern or complaint you have the right to approach the Ombudsman and there are instructions for doing this on the SPSO website.
