Family Planning Services

Ante-Natal Clinic

Our Ante-Natal Clinic is run by a community Midwife and usually takes place on a Tuesday & Thursday. If you are Pregnant, you do not need to see a GP before you make your first Midwife appointment. To make this first appointment, please call 01382 632866.

After your first appointment, any routine return appointments can be scheduled or rescheduled with the Midwifery Team on 01382 740204.

.

Child Health Screening and Baby Clinic

Our Child Health Screening clinic is held to assess newborn babies at around 6 weeks old to ensure healthy child development. These appointments are usually held one morning each week and are arranged by the Health Visiting Team. If you wish to book in to one of these clincs, please contact your Health Visitor.

Our Baby Clinics, which are held weekly at the surgery, are used for Immunisations.  Again these appointments are arranged by the Immunisation Team, you can do so by calling 01382 432111.

If you have any further queries regarding your Childs' Health, please contact the Health Visitors Team on 01382 442543.

Contraceptive Services

If you are looking for advice regarding Contraception, appointments can be made with any of our GPs. We also hold a Family Planning clinic at least once every 2 weeks; this is run by our own GP Partner, Dr Kane. Our Family Planning Clinic involves the removal and insertion of both Intra-uterine devices (Coils) and Nexplanon (Implants). Please note if you wish to be booked into this clinic, you will need to book an appointment with any GP, who will then refer you to the clinic.

If you are currently booked in to a Family Planning Clinic, please be aware our reception team will call you a day or two before your appointment to confirm this. Due to a high number of non-attendance recently, if we cannot get in touch to confirm your appointment, we will cancel the appointment and you will again be added to the waiting list.

If you require Emergency Contraception (Morning after Pill), many pharmacies now offer this service and can be obtained on the same day.
