pregnant10Ante-Natal Clinic

This midwife run clinic is in the surgery on a Tuesday & Thursday afternoon.  Please call 01382 632866 to make a first booking appointment with the midwife, you do not have to see a GP first.

After initial booking appointment, please call 01382 740204 for midwifery routine return appointments.

Child Health Screening and Baby Clinic

This clinic is a Child Development Clinic where we regularly assess newborn babies around 6 weeks old.  These appointments will be sent out from Child Health, we do not book these clinics ourselves.

Immunisation Clinics take place weekly in the surgery and again these appointments are sent out from Child Health.  Should you wish to reschedule/cancel these appointments you must contact them direct on 01382 432111.

Should you require any advice from the Health Visitors, they can be contacted directly on 01382 443543.

Contraceptive Services

All doctors are available for contraceptive advice during any surgery session. Intra-uterine devices (coils) are fitted by appointment. Emergency contraception (morning after pill) is available at a routine or emergency appointment.

Cervical Smears

The practice nurse performs routine smears. Appointments can be made at reception in advance and patients are recalled automatically every three years.


Chronic Disease Management Clinics

Under the direction of our Clinical Manager, Denise Gibson, we operate ‘One Stop Shop’ Clinics for routine checkups of patients suffering from Asthma, CHD, COPD, Diabetes or Hypertension. All patients suffering from any of these conditions will be automatically recalled for assessment and can make an appointment thereafter on the day of their choice (Monday – Friday) at a convenient time. 

Patients who have more than one condition no longer have to attend separate clinics.

Keep Well Clinic

If you are between 40-64 years of age and meet certain criteria you will be called for a well person check. These sessions are run by the Practice Nurses.

Skin Clinic

Cryotherapy to verrucas, warts and skin tags. This clinic is normally in an afternoon, varying between a Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday and procedures are carried out by the Practice Nurses.  You must see a GP regarding this before attending the skin clinic.

flight_and_luggageTravel Vaccinations / Visa Applications

The Practice Nurses are happy to advise you as to the necessary travel vaccinations for foreign travel and to administer them as required. Some vaccinations require a prescription to be prepared in advance or may need a course of injections. Please make arrangements at least 6-8 weeks prior to travel to ensure an adequate period of time to be vaccinated. 

We are also a designated Yellow Fever Centre and therefore can administer the Yellow Fever Vaccine if required. Please note, this vaccine carries a charge. Please ask for further information at time of booking.
